Mobile Number Portability from Aircel

Aircel MNP.  The process of porting Aircel mobile number to another Mobile operator is so simple & easy.
Just follow the below 4-steps simple process to port successfully:

  1. Know your Mobile Number Porting eligibility

    • Call the customer-care of the new Mobile operator you wish to port and understand their pre-requisites, documents required and terms & conditions. You can read these in their CAF (Customer Application Form) or ask their executive.
    • If you wish to port-out, fill the CAF & Porting Form. To fill these forms, you will need Unique Porting Code.
  2. Get UPC (Unique Porting Code)

    • Send SMS in below format to obtain UPC from Aircel:
      • PORT xxxxxxxxxx to 1900. Replace X’s with your 10-digit Aircel mobile number.
    • If you are from Jammu & Kashmir and a pre-paid subscriber, call 1900 to get the UPC.
    • Aircel will provide an auto generated 8 digits UPC; first two characters are alphabets & rest of six is numerical characters.
  3. Mobile Number Porting request

    • Submit the duly filled CAF & Porting Form to your new mobile operator. Below details are mandatory for MNP:
      • UPC (Unique Porting Code)
      • Documents required by your new Mobile Operator
      • Last bill paid receipt from Aircel, if you are a post-paid subscriber
    • Get new SIM card from your new Mobile operator.
    • Your new Mobile operator may charge Rs. 19/- as porting charges.
    • Note: You can cancel MNP request only within 24 hours from submitting the CAF & Porting Form. Read Aircel MNP FAQ’s.
  4. Activation of your ported Mobile number

    • If your porting request from Aircel is accepted, your new Mobile operator will confirm the same in 3-4 working days.
    • Your new Mobile operator will inform you the date & time of when the porting will happen, by SMS.
    • On 7th Working day, you will be ported to your new Mobile operator. If you are from Jammu & Kashmir, Assam & North East, it will be on 15th working day.
    • There will be about 2-4 hours service disruption during the porting process, mostly during night only.
    • Replace your current Aircel SIM card with new SIM card provided by your new Mobile operator.

    Unique Porting Code not Received.
    Everytime I message “PORT 9681127495 ″ to 1900. I receive a message saying “Dear Customer, Please send the request in the below format. Port xxxxxxxxxx“. I did not get my unique porting code from Aircel kolkata and it has also been more than 120 days with the network. I have tried a lot of times now but I am not getting my unique porting code from aircel kolkata. I call to the customer care many times. How it is possible? I want to complain consumer forum.

    Unique Porting Code not Received.
    Everytime I message “PORT 9795969578″ to 1900. I receive a message saying “Dear Customer, Please send the request in the below format. Port “. I did not get my unique porting code even a single time from Aircel UP East and it has also been more than 90 days with the network. I have tried a lot of times now but I am not getting my unique porting code from aircel.

    I have ported from loop to Aircel submitted docs as per procedure and porting number , I still haven’t got Aircel network after 3 weeks and hence cannot call 59059 as advised by you to verify .. What is alternative ? I don’t have a Aircel store in vicinity . Appreciate help. Mumbai andheri areas . 9821042430

    Hi this is Rahul from A.P. and Iam on Aircel network since Feb-2013 . Recently requested UPC to port my number to Airtel, and submitted UPC and required documents to airtel to port my number. But, after few days it has been rejected by Aircel and when i call customer care of Aircel they told me that its been rejected but they dont know the reason for reject, and suggested me to go to Aircel store. This is ridiculous answer from Aircel.Even when i been to Aircel store they saying the same story. At last i been to Airtel store where i submitted my documents, they shows me the reason for rejection from Aircel, that Iam not with Aircel for 90 days. This is ridiculous , Iam on aircel for more than one and half year. This is the worst customer care i have ever seen. Please suggest me what you want me to do ? .

    I am from chennai i am tata docomo customer. I have applied porting request and submitted all the necessary forms and paid for the sim card. Its been 20 days since any progress. I want to know the status of the request.

    hello sir ,
    i am aircel costomer.
    i want to change my no to idea.they suggest me the plan 399 postpaid MNP was free…i m ok with this.
    i subbmitted my document.they verified it and told me tht my no is portable within 3 days but….after 3 day when i call him back they said they need secuirity charge of 300 for this.
    what should i do.
    i just want to change my no aircel to idea without giving extra cost…
    i m from south delhi aircel postpaid cotmer.

      Since you are post-paid customer, security deposit is likely required.
      Negotiate if they can waive-off.

    Hi m pradeep m badly suffering with air cell 3g services.the network availibilty for 3g and 2g is equal to zero. I already complained in customer care and had received the complain refrance number ,with this promise from customer care that they ll call me with in 24 hrs and resoulv the problem . BT its been more than one week I did not get any responce against my complaint..and the plroblm is still same..suggest me at to do???

    i made a port request from docomo to vodafone, everything was fine, i gave my proof to the dealer and got my sim, but i didnt receive any sms regarding the date of porting etc. I asked the dealer, he says the proof has been submitted. What is the problem here?
