Mobile Number Portability from Reliance

Reliance MNP.  The process of porting Reliance mobile number to another Mobile operator is so simple & easy.
Just follow the below 4-steps simple process to port successfully:

  1. Know your Mobile Number Porting eligibility

    • Call the customer-care of the new Mobile operator you wish to port and understand their pre-requisites, documents required and terms & conditions. You can read these in their CAF (Customer Application Form) or ask their executive.
    • If you wish to port-out, fill the CAF & Porting Form. To fill these forms, you will need Unique Porting Code.
  2. Get UPC (Unique Porting Code)

    • Send SMS in below format to obtain UPC from Reliance:
      • PORT xxxxxxxxxx to 1900. Replace X’s with your 10-digit Reliance number.
    • If you are from Jammu & Kashmir and a pre-paid subscriber, call 1900 to get the UPC.
    • Reliance will provide an auto generated 8 digits UPC; first two characters are alphabets & rest of six is numerical characters.
  3. Mobile Number Porting request

    • Submit the duly filled CAF & Porting Form to your new mobile operator. Below details are mandatory:
      • UPC (Unique Porting Code)
      • Documents required by your new Mobile Operator
      • Last bill paid receipt from Reliance, if you are a post-paid subscriber
    • Get new SIM card from your new Mobile operator.
    • Your new Mobile operator may charge Rs. 19/- as porting charges.
    • Note: You can cancel MNP request only within 24 hours from submitting the CAF & Porting Form. Read Reliance MNP FAQ’s.
  4. Activation of your ported Mobile number

    • If your porting request from Reliance is accepted, your new Mobile operator will confirm the same in 3-4 working days.
    • Your new Mobile operator will inform you the date & time of when the porting will happen, by SMS.
    • On 7th Working day, you will be ported to your new Mobile operator. If you are from Jammu & Kashmir, Assam & North East, it will be on 15th working day.
    • There will be about 2-4 hours service disruption during the porting process, mostly during night only.
    • Replace your current Reliance SIM card with new SIM card provided by your new Mobile operator.

    my no is 9790942566.reliance gsm(chennai circle).i have sent the message according to format to 1900. .but the reply is”your request could not be processed”i am trying for last 15 days. .while trying to contact them they are not even picking up the call.

    Dear Sir,

    On 8th April’2014 I have requested to port my no. 9311033335 (Delhi NCR circle) from reliance to Airtel.
    on 9th April’2014 physical verification has been done from airtel but still reliance has not stopped my services and there is no clear satisfactory answer from both service provider.

    I have sent PORT to 1900 multiple times, but no response. I am trying to call their customer service, but they keep putting me on hold and then they hang up! Pathetic.

    Where can I complain about this malpractice of Reliance?

    Mine is a Mumbai number.

      Hello Neil,

      You have to send PORT 9999999999 to 1900 to get the UPC. (replace all 9’s with your mobile number)

    I have sent this many times. I want to migrate to Airtel from Reliance. Reliance isn’t releasing my number. Airtel least bothers. My number is from Bangalore. Pleasehelp me.

    I have submitted a request for MNP from Reliance to Vodafone. My number is now registered with Vodafone services but it is not yet activated because Reliance has not yet released my number.
    Kindly request you to release my number from Reliance services so that i can start using Vodafone services.

    Mobile Number: 9776070070 (wrongly entered in the above post)
    Circle: Cuttack
    Consider this as my compliant on priority basis as few days have already passed and Reliance Services is delaying the MNP process by not releasing the number.

    i am using reliance csm SIM, This network is worst .so ity to change net work i have sent sms PORT 9698xxxxx to 1900. i got replay message ‘ you try after some times ‘ from 1901 .
