Uninor DND | Activate Uninor Do Not Disturb Services at NCPR

Now you can stop unwanted promotional calls or messages on your Uninor mobile from telemarketers, advertising agency & etc., by registering yourself at NCPR (National Customer Preference Registry). DND (Do Not Disturb registry) has been replaced by NCPR, know more about NCPR (National Customer Preference Registry).
Upon registration with NCPR (old DND registry) you will not receive any unwanted promotional Calls / SMS / Messages and you will get confirmation within 24 hours with Unique Registration Number. And the DND services (now called as NCPR) activation will happen within 7 days.

To Register NCPR – National Customer Preference Registry (replaced by DND registry) Services
You have to choose from below options.
Option 1: Fully Blocked Category. SMS START 0 to 1909
If you wish you completely block all kind of SMS and do not want to receive any kind of promotional / unwanted commercial messages on your Uninor mobile, Send SMS “START 0” to 1909 (1909 is a toll-free number and no charges will be attracted).
Option 2: Partially Blocked Category. SMS START < category number> to 1909
Do you feel like by activating DND on your Uninor mobile, you miss latest updates and commercial information about latest Bikes & Cars in the market, movies updates from your favorite websites, here you have an option.
Choose from your favorite category below you wish to receive commercial / promotional SMS and still keep all others away by activating DND services on your Uninor mobile number. Send SMS START 4to 1909, if you wish receive messages only Health related. Like way you can choose any category you wish and also you can choose multiple categories to receive messages, i.e., you wish to receive Education and Health related commercial / promotional SMS, still activate DND on your Uninor mobile number, SMS START 3,4 to 1909.

If we understand correctly, you want the DND to be activate immediately today itself.
But, unfortunately DND activates within 45 days and you have to wait for it.

Check if your number is already registered with NCPR http://ndncregistry.gov.in/ndncregistry/search.misc. If not, send SMS START 0 to 1909 from your Uninor mobile.
If you are getting error while sending SMS, call 1909 and connect to Uninor customer care executive ask him to activate DND on your mobile number
I had applied for complete de-registration on 27/09/2011. I had sent message “STOP” to 1909. I received the following message from 1909″
“Your reference number for CPR deregistration is S39132879828. The service will be withdawn effective 7 days from now. Thank You!”
However still now the DND service is active in my mobile.

Your NCPR (old DND) de-registration request has been accepted on 18th Nov’11 and you have to wait till 25th Nov’11 for complete DND (now NCPR) de-activation.

Your number is still subscribed for DND. You can escalate this issue to your customer care or try the following.
Try this, send SMS STOP to 1909 from your Uninor mobile and upon complete deactivation, send SMS START 1 to 1909.

I had applied for complete de-registration of DND service for my mobile number +91 92319 23274 on 16/10/2011 at 11:40 PM. I had sent message, “STOP DND” to 1909. I had received the following message from 1909 “Hi! Do allow us 7 days to process your request for removal from Customer Preference. Your request ID is DND11137014912”.
However, still now the DND service is active against my mobile number (+91 92319 23274).
Requesting you to kindly de-activate / remove the DND service fully from my above mentioned cell phone number so that I could be able to receive promotional calls & SMSs from TATA DOCOMO and also from other services / service providers.

Your Tata DoCoMo mobile number is not registered with NCPR ( old DND ).
So you will get all commercials calls and messages on your number, if someone tries to send or call.

Both NDNC and NCPR databases are same, as per our knowledge.
What I observed is you have sent SMS STOP DND to deactivate, but as per the updated regulation you need to send only STOP to 1909.
Its a question how Tata has accepted STOP DND as a request to deactivate, try sending only STOP.
Also we suggest you to parallely lodge a complaint with Tata.
I want to deactivate dnd service on my loop mobile,but when I msgd STOP to 1909 I got a reply that ”this service is currently not available from master.”

Send SMS START 6 to 1909 from your Uninor mobile, withing 7 days you will receive messages from iBibo / way2sms and also similar websites if anyone sends you. But not possible to receive only from those two websites.
i am getting a problem while recieving the messages from social network websites or some of sms websites, the reaso0n behind this is my mobile number is activated in DND.

And, for your information your mobile numbers is not subscribed to NCPR (old DND).
I am able to send messages but I am not recieving any message from anyone…
As right now I am in Qatar (Middle-East) for 6 months. I tried to sent SMS on 1909 then I got reply from 1909 that Dear Customer we are unable to process your request. Please validate the keyword and submit again, or call our DND IVR 1909 for assistance.
I have just write STOP in text message and sent on 1909. Is there anything else I need to write on message, please do let me know as I have to urgently deregister DND from my connection.
