Now you can change your Mobile operator without changing your Mobile number, by availing Mobile Number Portability services.
This guide is for current DoCoMo subscribers. If you want to become DoCoMo subscriber using Number portability and keep your current mobile number, read DoCoMo MNP.

Tata DoCoMo subscribers avail Number portability service.
For DoCoMo MNP, follow the below simple 3 Steps to switch your DoCoMo number to other using number porting services.
Step 1
Obtain “Unique Porting Code” from your current Mobile operator – DoCoMo.
Send SMS ‘PORT <your 10 digit mobile number>’ to 1900 from your DoCoMo mobile to get Unique Porting Code.
Step 2
Call executive of your desired Mobile operator, fill CAF (Customer Application Form) & Porting form or visit their office.
Submit the form with required documents like photo ID, Address proof, also if you are a post-paid customer submit your last bill & last bill paid receipt.
Step 3
Obtain a New SIM card from your new mobile operator.
You will receive an acknowledgement SMS from +1901 within 4 days for your DoCoMo Portability request. Within 3 days from then you will receive SMS from +1901 confirming your port out request succesful.
After 12pm midnight, mobile services from DoCoMo will be stopped and you will have to use the New SIM obtained from another Mobile Operator keeping your current mobile number.

In your mobile, which SIM card is there? Reliance or DoCoMo?
Or simply switch off your mobile and call from another number, see which operator is giving you information about mobile was switched off.
Or call customer call and ask.
Or try recharge online from Mobile operators website and see who is accepts the request.
Sir/Madam, I switched from idea to tata docomo through mnp last week and since then m facing network connection problems in my office and many other areas. Now m planning to change it again to my previous service provider, Idea. How much time will it take to process? Is there any rule as regards to any timeperiod in switching again?

Porting to mobile operator is allowed after 90 days from the mobile activation or last porting requesting processed.
That means, you have switched to DoCoMo last week, you can only port back to Idea after completion of 83 days.

Usually there is Rs. 19/- charges for Mobile number porting, but some operators waive-off this charges.
Check with with your Mobile operator’s customer care for further details.
